Objective of the Course |
Develop
an understanding of the fundamentals of dynamics of machinery, determine the general force conditions which are common to
all machinery and describe the general analysis techniques that can be applied for the
design of machinery. |

Course Contents |
Basic concepts,
simple four bar mechanisms. Velocity and acceleration analysis of mechanisms static and dynamic
force analysis of machines. Balancing of machinery, balancing of rigid rotors, balancing of reciprocating machines. Vibration in machines, vibration model, equation of motion and general solution, rotating and reciprocating unbalance, critical speed of rotating shafts, vibration. solation and transmissibility, dynamic vibration absorber. |
